Aug. 10, 2017: ICYM Bajal in association with ICYM City Deanery organized ”BEST BUDDIES” competition for youth of deanery on Sunday 6th August 2017 in the premise of St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Bajal.
The programe began with the prayer song as an invocation of God’s blessing. Mr. Gaywin Lasrado, President of ICYM Bajal unit welcomed the gathering. Fr. Cyril Pinto - Parish Priest of Bajal was the chief guest of the programe. Br. Macson, Sr. Lenet - Head Mistress of St. Joseph English Medium School, ICYM City Deanery President Raison Bondel, Secretary Veena Shakthinagar also were present for the programme. The guest inaugurated the programme by painting. Brother Macson addressed the gathering. Convenor Joshwita Veigas proposed the vote of thanks. 36 teams from different parishes of City Deanery actively participated in the competition.
The competition consisted of 6 different rounds like Know Your Buddy, Quiz, Marketing, Wealth out of Waste & Shop for your buddy, Food Relay & Variety. Sr. Agnes Clera & Deril Lasrado were judges for Wealth out of Waste and Variety rounds.
At the validictory ceremony, Sr. Agnes Clera, Deril Lasrado, ICYM Central Council President Mr. Elroy Saldanha, Lady Vice President Ivy Derebail, Immediate Past President Jackson, City Deanery President Raison, Secretary Veena & other Office Bearers from Central Council & Deanery were present. Sr. Agnes Clera & Deril Lasrado appreciated the participants. Elroy Saldanha & Jackson Eric appreciated the unique programe.
"BEST BUDDIES - 2017" was won by Deora Fernandez & Teena Menezes from Derebail, runners were Sudeep Saldanha & Afney Pereira from Neermarga unit.
Pranitha D’souza - Secretary of ICYM Bajal Unit proposed the Vote of thanks. The programme ended with group photo & mass dance.
