KCWA in association with ICYM and YCS Central Council Mangalore Diocese organized Scholarship distribution program to all the needy Youth of Mangalore Diocese on 20th of June 2015 at Jyothi Nivas Hall, ShanthiKiran, Bajjodi.
The event began with Prayer Ceremony, while Rev Fr. Henry Sequeira, Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese, Rev Fr. Peter D’Souza, Director of Pastoral Institute, Mr. Pascal Monteiro, KCWA Representative, Mr. Anil Fernandes, EX President KCWA, Mr. Elias Saldanha, Founder President KCWA, Mr. Elias Sanctis, Mr. Naveen Mascarenhas, Rev Fr. Ronald D’Souza, Director ICYM and YCS/YSM Central Council Mangalore Diocese Presided over the function.
Melreeda Rodrigues, President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese welcomed the gathering.
Fr. Henry Sequeira in his presidential speech said, “People in Kuwait do not organize this scholarship because they are rich, but they save some amount from their earnings and help poor youth in their education, we should appreciate their courage and concern towards the poor”.
A total amount of 11 lakhs was distributed to 200 and above PUC and degree students of Mangalore Diocese.
Mr. Roshan Lobo, YCS National Executive Member delivered the vote of thanks.
