The National Youth Convention (NYC) Cross which arrived to ECD after travelling in other parts of Karnataka was welcomed at Rosario Cathedral on Sunday December 11, 2016 at 3.30 p.m. Later the Cross was in ECD for 3 Days. The Prayer service for the Cross was follwed this way
12th Dec Taize prayer at 6 p.m. in Rosario cultural Hall which was conducted by Bro. Norbert Misquith
13th Dec Mass wich was celebrated by Fr. J B Crasta, Vicar forane followed by Adoration to the Cross wich was conducted by Fr. Paul D’souza, Asst. Parish Priest Rosario Cathedral
14th Dec Handovering the Cross to South Deanery at 4.30 p.m.
During the Handovering the Director of the ICYM ECD Rev. Fr Anil Roshan Lobo and the President of ECD Mr. Leon Loyd Saldanha along with other members handed over the Cross to South Deanery vicar forane Rev. Fr J B Saldanha, ICYM Director Fr Elias Dsouza and ICYM President Mr. Roshan.
The Cross was later kept in St. Sebastian Church, Permanur, ICYM South Deanery President Mr. Roshan welcomed the gathering. Fr. Elias Dsouza, Director of ICYM South Deanery conducted the prayer service.
Fr. Praveen Joy Dsouza and Fr. Donald Nielsh Crasta Asst. Parish Priest and Fr. Ashwin Dsouza - RushiVana, Brother Trinson Dsouza, Permannur and other deanery icym committee members, ICYM Permannur unit members and Bethany sisters were present during this occacion.
