Sept 25, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Kasargod Deanery with Kollangan unit had organized ‘Yuvasamavesh 2K17’ on 24th September 2017. Around 190 youths from 10 units were present for this event. It started with the registration and all were served with breakfast.
The inaugural program began with the prayer song lead by Kollangan unit. Unit president Jeshma Lob welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Valerian Frank Kasargod vigar var was the president. Fr. Ronald Dsouza Director ICYM Mangalore Diocese, President Elroy Saldanha, Secretary Joel Concesso, Deanery Representative Leon, Unit director, Unit animator Sr. Flavia, Kasargod Deanery Director Fr. Victor Dsouza, Animator Sr. Severine D’cunha, President Jeevan Dsouza and Secretary Alisha Fernandes were the guest of the day. Kasargod Deanery Animator Sr. Severine, Unit animator Sr. Flavia and Mr. Carnelias Lobo were honored on this day. Vote of thanks was delivered by the secretary of Kollangan unit.
1st session was taken by the resource person Mr. Norbert Misquith. Later the Eucharistic celebration was held for all the youth. Tasty lunch was served in the afternoon. Later to freshen up the youth Viyon and team came up with different action songs. 2nd session was held by Fr. Santhosh Lobo. to energize the youth games and activities were organized.
CONCLUDING CEREMONY : Fr. Victor Dsouza was the president of the concluding ceremony. Alisha Deanery Secretary compered the program. Jeevan Deanery President welcomed the gathering. Fr. Victor evaluated the whole program and delivered their speech. Jostal Dsouza Deanery Joint Secretary thanked the gathering. The day ended up with the dj and baila dance. On the whole ‘Yuvasamavesh-2K17‘ was filled with fun, knowledge and entertainment.
