Aug 10 : On the occasion of National Youth Sunday on 9th August 2020, ICYM Mangalore diocese organised various programs to get back the youth to the churches after a long Covid break. The youth participated in the Holy Eucharist and conducted the liturgy. They planted saplings in church premises. The diocesan committee took the initiative of planting medicinal saplings at Olivet House, Jeppu which is the diocesan ICYM office.

By involving themselves in Shramadhan, Church surroundings were cleaned. The members also cleaned and sanitised the church by forming a ICYM COVID cleaning committe in their respective churches. There was an innovative social distancing selfie in front of the church.

National Youth Sunday not only helped to get back our youth to Churches but also helped them to participate in the Holy Eucharist and other innovative activities to nurture their spiritual and social lives.

Total of 36 units actively participated in this programme.
