A rich tribute was given to the former president DR. A P J ABDUL KALAM with humanity by extending the help to the eight year old girl NAVYASHREE POOJARY who is suffering from blood cancer and hospitalized in Fr. Muller's hospital KANKANADY.
The initiation of tribute began at 3:00pm by moving in groups of 6-7 people who went around the streets of mangalore , who requested public people to help out the needy girl. Taking the certificate of doctor as well as an appeal from Icym Mangalore Diocese the youths could collect a greater portion of medical expenses and much more is on the way as the people have assured to give in few days. Then the tribute ceremony Began at war memorial center near circuit house mangalore where there were many youths along with the public join their hands.
our favorite MLA MR. J. R. Lobo ,and MLC Mr. Ivan Dsouza and ICYM mangalore dioceses director REV. FR Ronald Prakash D Souza , ICYM mangalore dioceses president Alwyn Agrar ,Secretary Jackson Eric had present to witness this fabulous event . all shared the highness of DR. KALAM. Finally igniting the candle lights the ceremony concluded.
And the best part which the youths had done through box collection was Rs 48,890 within very short span of time . Rs 18,000 from MR. Andrew D'cunha and frnds .Rs 10,000 from MRPL power plant frnds . Rs 10,000 from Wilson Fernandes & frnds from Oman . Rs 5,000 from @ronald & fly Kuwait ,so the total collection collected and given to the family is Rs 91,890 till date and many more have assured us .
