Sep 30 : ICYM Mangalore Diocese Executive Committee members met with the Chairman of the Youth Commission and Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldahna at Bishop's house Mangalore on 29th September 2022. Rev Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza , Director of ICYM welcomed the bishop with his kind words. The committee members then briefly introduced themselves , their portfolios and the parishes they belong to. In the interaction that followed the introductions, Bishop congratulated all the executive members for being elected and selected for the youth mission.

General Secretary Nishal Preemal D’Souza then gave a brief account of all the programmes held till date and the future activity plans for the year 2022-23. The Bishop appreciated the youth for taking good initiatives through different novel activities.

In his message to all the youth of the diocese, the bishop exhorted by saying that in order to accomplish the vision, mission, and true purpose of life, faith and leadership must co-exist. He also mentioned that we as young people have to endeavour to comprehend what Catholics really stand for, as expressed in the Diocesan magazine Internos.

Anil John Sequiera, the President of ICYM handed over a sapling to the bishop as a token of love and delivered the vote of thanks.

The Director along with 11 DEXCO members were present for the meeting. The meeting ended with a prayer and blessing by the bishop.
