Mangalore: It was an opportunity provided by ICYM central council and YCS central Council of Mangalore Diocese to showcase the talents of young  Catholics in the Diocesan level spiritual dance competition called “Bhokte Angant Naas Uthsav” held in the Rosario Cathedral Hall on 20st of October, Sunday.

The young  talents meet the expectations to put forth a beautiful show in the competition.

Later in the evening prize distribution ceremony was held and the National Director of YCS Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes who was the chief guest of the program, gave a call to take the victory and defeat equally.

He said " one who does not win the competition gives away the prizes to the winners. It is because of them the winners are able to win the competition and being participants everybody is a winner."

The inaugural ceremony of the competition was held in the morning where in the National Advisor of ICYM Mr. Raymond D'souza was the inaugurator of the competitions.

He said "This stage is a platform for the participants to showcase their talents and every one should make the best use of this opportunity."

Later he congratulated the central council's of both the organizations for organizing this program and wished good luck to the participants.

Among the 24 registered teams 16 teams participated in the competition.

The first prize of the competition was bagged by YCS Angelore church team.

The second prize was bagged by the YCS Permannoor Church team.

The third place was bagged by YCS Suratkal church team.

Seven consolation prizes were also given at the occasion.

ICYM director Fr. Ronald D'souza, YCS Director Edwin Correa, ICYM central council Prez. Sheldon Crasta, his counterpart of YCS Clyde D'souza were present at the occasion.
