Kavita trust in collaboration with ICYM Bantwal unit organized prelims of the Konkani poetry reciting competition on 20 September 2015. There were 42 participants in the junior section and 6 participants in the senior section.
ICYM animator Mr. Sunil Lewis welcomed the gathering. Mr.Melwin Rodrigues read out the rules of the competition and thanked Bantwal ICYM unit for their support especially Ms Wilma D'Souza, Mr. Richard Pascal D'Souza and vice President of Parish Pastoral Committee Mr Francis Saldanha.
Ms Avril Rodrigues, Mr. Andrew L.Dcunha and Mr. William Pais were the esteemed judges of the competition.
Well Known poets Valli Quadras and Geo Dsilva Agrar were also present at the venue.
9 participants from the junior section and 2 participants from the senior section were selected for the finals which are scheduled in the month of January.
