ICYM Bantwal Unit took initiative to collect contributions from Bantwal parishioners under the project Mission K2K initiated by ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese. Avinash Jeevan Dsouza ICYM Unit President and Annet Carol Dsouza Secretary with help of other ICYM members coordinated the programme.

On 19th August 2018, contributions were collected by the unit members from the parishioners in the form of cash and other items. The parishioners generously donated funds towards this project which exceeded Rs. One lakh. Other contributions collected which includes rice, clothes, water cans, packet food items and medicinal kits. Cash was collected by keeping the boxes outside the church.

There was massive response towards this initiative by the parishioners. Parish Priest and the parishioners highly appreciated ICYM members for this initiative. Contributions from other units of the Bantwal Deanery were collected and brought to Bantwal unit and then sent through two trucks to ICYM Mangalore Diocesan Office, Jeppu. Youth of ICYM Bantwal unit actively took part in this initiative by staying at the church and collecting things from morning 6 am to evening 7pm.
