Jan 9 : On the occasion of Christmas, Indian Catholic Youth Movement of Sacred Heart Church, Madanthyar performed Liturgy on 24th of December 2023 at Christmas Evening mass. After the mass, ICYM youths distributed Christmas cake to all the parishioners.

As a part of Christmas preparations, ICYM Madanthyar unit organized following events:

1. The youths orgainsed carol singing across 10 wards of the parish from 10th December 2023 to 20th December 2023. Youths visited every house in the parish to spread the joy of the season along with carols singing. Around 15 to 20 youths were present every day.

2. Youths also organized a homemade Kuswar sale program as sharing Kuswar has always been one of the traditional.

3. Online ward-wise Carol Singing and Greeting Card competitions for children were held for the parishioners.

4. Crib and Star competition and House making competition was also held for the parishioners.

5. Also a beautiful crib was built by the youths at the church premises and secured 2nd place in the Belthangady Deanery Level Crib competition.

6. ICYM Madanthyar unit along with the Parishioners celebrated “Christmas Souharda Koota” on 25th December 2023. The procession began at 5pm towards church along with the Band and Santa Claus. Youths and parishioners danced to the beats of the band. Youth also gave cultural programs and entertained the parishioners.
