Nov 17 : ICYM Kasaragod Deanery in association with ICYM Maniyampare unit Organized Volleyball and throwball tournaments on 5th November 2023 at Maniyampare Church ground.

Rev Fr Nelson D Almeda Maniyampare Parish Priest and ICYM Director, Rev Fr Vishal Monies Director of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Dhanraj D Souza Secretary of Parish Pastoral parishad, Delwin D Souza Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Jasmitha Monterio President of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Ashintha Monterio Secretary of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Preethem D Souza President of ICYM Maniyampare unit, Vivian D Souza Secretary of ICYM Maniyampare unit and Reevan D Souza Sports secretary of ICYM Maniyampare unit were the dignitaries of the Programme.

The programme began with a Prayer song led by ICYM members. The Inaugural ceremony compered by Arun D Souza. Maria D Souza warmly welcomed the guest and all gathered. Fr Nelson D Almeda and Fr Vishal Monies inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon attached to the net and ball. Afterwards they addressed the gathering and wished good luck to all the teams. Vote of thanks delivered by Vivian D Souza Secretary of ICYM Maniyampare unit.

In the tournament , 11 Volleyball teams and 8 throwball teams actively participated.

For the Valedictory programme , Fr Vishal Monies Director of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Sr Sevrin D'cunha (Animator of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery), Dhanraj D Souza (Secretary of Parish Pastoral parishad), Delwin D Souza (Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese), Lavisha Dasy D Souza (Lady Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese), Jaison D Souza (Representative of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery), Jasmitha Monterio (President of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery), Ashintha Monterio (Secretary of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery), Preethem D Souza (President of ICYM Maniyampare unit) and Vivian D Souza( Secretary of ICYM Maniyampare unit) were the dignitaries of the Programme. Jasmitha Monterio welcomed the gathering. Fr Vishal Monies addressed the gathering and wished the winners. Special thanks was delivered to the Maniyampare unit for conducting the event. 

Neema D'Silva , Auditor of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery announced the winners of the event.

Volleyball winners : Mariashram unit and runners : Kayyar unit

The winners were awarded with trophies and cash prizes. 

Individual performances were also awarded for their excellent play during the games.

Ashintha Monterio proposed vote of thanks. Tokens of gratitude were distributed to the guests of the programme, Referees , Sponsors & Well-wishers. Event was concluded by the ICYM anthem.
