On December 31, 2023, the ICYM unit of Our Lady of Dolours Church, Vittal organized a vibrant New Year celebration program following the New Year Mass Celebration. Here are the key highlights of the event:

1. The centerpiece of the event was the symbolic burning of a large '2023' made of wood, signifying the farewell to the old year.

2. The stage program featured several esteemed dignitaries, including Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Michael Rodriguez, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Vijay Pais, Secretary Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas, Coordinator of 18 Pastoral Commissions Mr. Louis Mascarenhas, ICYM Unit President Mr. Glanson Mascarenhas, and ICYM Unit Secretary Mr. Avil Lobo.

3. The program included the distribution of prizes for the Christmas crib competition.

4. An entertaining drama skit titled 'Walli Returns' captivated the audience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

5. The event also showcased dance performances, with ICYM unit members and the 'Stree Sanghatan' group delivering captivating dance routines.

6. As the clock struck midnight (12:00), everyone came together to exchange warm New Year's wishes, marking the beginning of 2024.
