Nov 16 : ICYM Central Council - Diocese of Mangalore, in collaboration with Don Bosco Yuva Spandana, organized "PINNACLE PULSE- EMPOWER TO LEAD."

The event took place on the 11th and 12th of November 2023 @ DB YUVA SPANDANA YUVAKARAGRAMA, MAGADI, BANGALORE.

Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, the ICYM Diocesan Director, led the prayer and extended his best wishes to all the participants. In his speech, he mentioned the four essential qualities to become a good resource person: 1) having interest, 2) listening (the more you listen, the more powerful a resource person you become), 3) taking down points and collecting resources, and 4) seizing opportunities.

The following day, Rev. Fr. Anil DSa and Fr. Julian, Directors of Don Bosco Yuva Spandana, along with DEXCO members of ICYM Mangalore Diocese – Mr. Mithesh, Ms. Anisha, Ms. Lavisha, and Mr. Jaison – were present on the dais. Fr. Anil introduced himself to the members, and Fr. Julian gave a quick summary of their association, highlighting the services offered.

After the stage programme, participants were encouraged to sit in a circle and introduce themselves. Various activities were carried out, and the groups were later divided based on the activities. In one activity, a member had to describe a specific topic in writing, and another member had to explain the same by collecting all the points.

The next session focused on how a resource person must communicate, considering the attributes they must possess, as well as the type of information and language they must employ. Following that, an activity session focusing on leadership qualities was held. In the afternoon, participants went on a trek as part of an activity organized by the treasure hunt.

In the evening, members actively participated in the Taize Prayer. Day 1 concluded with a campfire.

The second day began with trekking in the morning and a Eucharistic Mass in the forest with the theme "Protect the Environment for the Future."

The subsequent session was conducted on the topic "Success - Believe in your own words, believe in yourself, and Words we say and think as power." The power – anything that lasts is because of love. An activity called "Leading The Blind" was conducted to emphasize trust and confidence, discussing qualities needed to achieve success and tips to succeed in life using video clippings.

The post-box game was played in the following session, and organizers explained its significance. After the game, participants reflected on what they gained, including how to plan wisely as part of a team.

Three individuals led the youth walk session on topics such as God, Gift, and Generosity. Youth Walk is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential and become responsible and respected adults.

In the 'Youth Cafe' activity, participants engaged in discussions on assigned topics at individual tables, accompanied by a variety of snacks brought in by each participant from their hometowns.

The program concluded with the valedictory program, during which participants provided feedback on the two-day event. Later, participants shared secret gifts with each other. Mr. Nevin Antony, the Karnataka Regional President, addressed the gathering. Mr. Mithesh D'Souza, President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, complimented the organizers for organizing such a magnificent program. Finally, the program ended with a prayer song and a group photo.Nearly 40 participants were present.
