May 29 : ICYM St. Matthew Deanery Moodbidri in collaboration with Humanity Trust, Mount Rosary Hospital - Alangar, Father Muller Hospital - Mangalore organized “Blood and Hair Donation Camp & Organ Donation Awareness Camp” on 26th May 2024, at Mount Rosary Hospital, Alangar.
The programme began with a prayer service. Brendon Cutinha - President of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Mr. Roshan Belman - Founder of Humanity Trust inaugurated the programme along with Sr. Mabel Pashan - Head of Mount Rosary Hospital- Alangar, Dr. Madhavi from Fr. Muller Blood Bank.

Following the inauguration, Mr. Roshan Belman and Dr. Madhavi emphasized the critical need for regular blood donations to save lives in emergencies. They also encouraged participants to contribute by donating their hair, offering a concrete means of supporting individuals undergoing medical treatments, and to contemplate registering as organ donors to create a positive impact on the lives of others. Ronson Crasta compered the inaugural ceremony.
Approximately 54 individuals participated in blood donation, 15 in hair donation, and 25 pledged to donate organs. Vijoy Cardoza - Secretary of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery proposed a vote of thanks.
