Yeya …gadhyanth khelya….
For the first time in the history of Bantwal parish gadhya khel was organized on 16th of August 2015.
The ICYM members escorted the guests to the dais to the rhythm of the band. ICYM Animator Mr. Sunil Lewis welcomed the gathering. ICYM President Flewin Deepak Pinto symbolically welcomed the guests in a typical catholic tradition of “panpod udaak”.
Rev Fr Maxim Noronha, Parish priest of Bantwal inaugurated the program.
Gracing the dais were Mr. John Gomes, president of Youth Welfare Committee; Mr. Francis Saldanha, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Committee, Mrs. Priya Carlo, Secretary of PPC, Mr. Prakash D’cruz, gurkar of Infant Mary ward, Mr. Pradeep D’cruz, gurkar of St. Antony ward, Mr. Steven D'Souza President of St Antony Chapel Committee, Mr. Sunil Lewis, ICYM Animator, Mr. Flewin Deepak Pinto, ICYM President.
Flewin Deepak Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
The event began with the treasure hunt. Other games conducted include relay, kabaddi, pyramid, tug of war, running race, couple games, etc.
All the parishioners actively took part in this event. The event was instrumental in bringing the parishioners together.
Rev Fr Maxim Noronha, Parish priest, Fr Johnson Sequeira, Assistant Parish Priest, political leaders Mr. Pius Rodrigues and Mr. Prakash Shetty Thumbe were present for the concluding ceremony. Prizes were given away to the winners during the concluding ceremony.
Ms. Wilma D'Souza compered the program and thanked everyone for their support.
