Feb.27, 2018: ICYM Surathkal unit organised Dental Camp on 25th February 2018. Rev. Fr. Paul Pinto, Director of ICYM Surathkal; Dr. Shrividya, Head of Dept. of Public Health Dentistry - Shrinivsa Dental College and Hospital; Mr Dony Suares, Vice President of Parish Pastrol Committe; Mr. Bernard D'Souza, Secretary of Parish Pastrol Committee; Ms. Teena Rebello, Animator of ICYM Mother Teresa Deanery and Ms Cleeta D'Souza, ICYM Karnataka Regional MIJARC coordinator were present for the inaugural program.
The program began with a short prayer service by unit members. Mr Sandeep DSouza, President of ICYM Surathkal welcomed the gathering. Dr Shri Vidya addressed the parishioners about the importance and need of oral hygiene. Followed by Rev. Fr. Paul Pinto congratulating the youth and faculty of Shrinivas Dental College and Hospital for coming up with the camp for the parishioners. At the end, Ms Ronita Serrao, Secretary of ICYM Surathkal proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Neha Suares compered the inaugural ceremony .
The inaugural program was followed by a clinical dental check up. The patients who needed treatments were issued cards and will be treated in Shrinivas Dental College and Hospital free of cost in the upcoming days. A team of 10 doctors were present and 106 parishioners benefited from this camp.
