A Taizé worship service involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons. There is no preaching. The style of prayer practiced at Taizé has attracted many worshipers from around the globe and from many different denominations. The prayers consist of “short chants, repeated again and again,” according to an introduction in a Taizé songbook. “The words are sung over many times.”

Practicing the silence with icons, candles, incense and prayer stations, this very contemplative community is attracting young people from around the world.

Youth of Bejai never restricted themselves to cultural and social activities, their leadership abilities were proved even in the field of faith and Religion. Thanks to (CYM) ICYM Bejai for giving plenty of Priest, Religious brothers and sisters to the world.

Bejai Faithful enjoyed the chants and prayers under the Guideline of Rev Fr Ronald D’Souza ICYM Diocesan Director along with his ICYM Central Unit, who helped in leading Prayers of Faithful and Honor to Holy Cross. All this witnessed during Taize Prayers Meeting organized by ICYM Bejai unit at our Bejai Parish Hall. Enjoyment of faith was observed in the unity of Youth by organizing the event and Participation of the Parishioners was awesome. Thanks to Bejai ICYM for giving wonderful Prayer experience. As every year this year’s prayers were “TOO GOOD”
