Jan 3 : Catholic Action League Bendur organised Christmas Star making competition for all the parishioners. The competitors had to make their own stars. The stars were then displayed in church, where the judging was done. Assessment was done on the basis of creative ideas, originality, use of different recycled materials and different modes of presentation.

The winners were as follows:
1. Rancy Mascarenhas Ferns- Calvary
2. Meldrin Mascarenhas Rose- Lower Bendur I
3. Anora Chacko, Lotus - Kaibattal I
