ICYM Kulur unit celebrated Laudato - Si Sunday on Sunday, 30th June 2019 at St. Antony Church premises, Kulur. The aim of the programme was to motivate the parishioners, the general public and to create awareness on planting more saplings, naturing them for years inorder to protect our Environment by spreading a message "Save the Earth and Save the Future". Laudato - Si Sunday is a unique programme which is initiated in the Mangalore Diocese by Most. Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha - Bishop of Mangalore Diocese by paying reverence to the words of Pope Francis towards conservation of nature.

Rev. Fr Robert Crasta of Mangalore Diocese, Agnes Dsouza - Vice President, Kulur parish pastoral council, Claver Dsouza - Animator, Anusha Ferrao - President and the ICYM members of Kulur Unit were present at the celebration.

During the occasion, Rev. Fr Robert Crasta distributed saplings to the parishioners along with ICYM members. After the distribution of saplings, ICYM members gathered in church premises to plant the saplings. Rev. Fr Robert Crasta along with Agnes Dsouza and Anusha Ferrao planted saplings. The youth gathered in large nos and happily co-operated with round of applauses. The programme concluded by watering the planted saplings.
