Sept 29, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) in honor for all working and retired teachers organized Teachers Day celebration on 19 September 2017 Tuesday at Bellore Church Hall from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The program started with prayer song by us and then a welcome dance by one of our ICYM member. Later stage program was held where Fr Peter Aranha our Parish Priest was the Chief guest and wished us well with his speech.
Fr Ivan Rodrigues Principal St. Dominic School Badakabail,our Parish Vice President and Secretary along with all our wado gurkars were present for the stage program. ICYM diocese President Elroy was present and wished us well and presented an Acton song for all our parish teachers where all ICYM members danced alongside Elroy. Fr Ivan Rodrigues was the resource person and thanked all teachers for their work towards the society. Breakfast was given after the talk where all our members served them.
Wishing song was sung by ICYM members and later spot games was conducted by us. Lucky games like lucky teacher, tongue twister, biheart names from attendance register was conducted. And the center of attraction was the felicitation of two aged teachers where our Parish Priest honored them. Surprise felicitation for our animator Mr. Vinod Fernandes was held later. Two teachers shared their life experiences with us.
ICYM members presented momentous for all teachers who attended our program. Around 34 of our parish teachers attended the program and finally with vote of thanks and a prayer song the program ended. All teachers thanked us for arranging such a wonderful and enjoyable program for them.
