Nov 24, 2017: ICYM Bellore for the 3rd time organized Christmas Trophy 2017 Cricket for Men and Lagori for Women on 19/11/2017 in Benjanapadavu Ground. The matches were held between the wards.
At 9.30 inaugural function was held where Parish Priest Fr Peter, Parish Vice President Mr Vijay Ferns along with Secretary Ms Gretta Ferns, Br Joel and Ward Gurkars were present. All guests were welcomed and Fr Peter wished us well for our contribution towards Church programs. Later the guests were taken to the ground and guests inaugurated with some batting performances. A total of 7 teams registered for cricket and 6 for lagori. Later all ward captains were called and lots was taken and rules were explained.
Food coupons were given at the time of registration itself. Matches were held in leagues both lagori and cricket. At 1.00 lunch was served prepared by Bellore Sree Sangatan. Rain paused the ongoing matches and there were lot of difficulty to cover all equipment and we faced other problems too. 15 mins after the rain stopped we discussed between ourselves and pitch was relocated and other matches continued without any problems. For the final match Fr Peter wished all players good luck .
