Aug 31 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Nirkan Unit along with YCS Nirkan Unit organized 'Youth Cafe 2023' on Sunday, 27th August 2023, at St Thomas Primary School Hall, Nirkan, immediately after the morning mass at 9:00.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by Sweedal Rodrigues–President of ICYM Nirkan Unit. Renita Maria– Secretary of ICYM Nirkan Unit, welcomed the gathering.
Rev. Fr. Leo Lobo, Parish Priest - St. Thomas Apostle Church Nirkan presided over along with Vincent Bennis - Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council and Animator of ICYM Nirkan Unit; Brother Jeevan Lobo - Animator YCS Nirkan Unit.

Brother Jeevan engaged the session by ice breaker activities creating fun and exciting environment. Then through case studies on inter faith marriage and on other topics, enlightened and encouraged youths.
Brother addressed social evils faced by today's youth, how youth need to tackle them. He also suggested youth to read Catechism of Catholic Church to know more about Morals and Values.
Henvil Valder, Vice President of ICYM Nirkan Unit expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for making Youth Cafe successful. Around 20 youths took part in the event.
