Sep 9 : On the occasion of Nativity of Mother Mary, the youths of ICYM Madanthyar unit gathered at the church on 7th September, to clean the sugarcanes and arrange them. On the Feast day, 8th of September, ICYM Madanthyar unit members prepared 'payasam' for all the parishioners.

Rev Fr William Dsouza - Assistant Parish Priest and Assistant Director ICYM Madanthyar along with Rev Fr Basil Vas - Parish Priest and Director of ICYM Madanthyar, Rev Fr Jerome Dsouza - Principal Sacred Heart PU college, Rev Fr Deepak D'sa - Head Master Sacred Heart English Medium school led the prayer over the new crop. Mr Vivek Vincent Pais - Coordinator, Mr Leo Rodrigues - Parish Council Vice President, Mr Jerald Moras - Parish Council Secretary, Mr Ajay Rodrigues - President ICYM Madanthyar, Ms Josvita Dsouza - Secretary ICYM Madanthyar were also present.

Later the youths distributed the 'payasam' mixed with blessed grains to the gathering. Also the youths helped in distributing the sugarcanes to the parishioners after the Holy Eucharistic celebration.
