Sep 5 : "Teachers are the founders of every individual being to become a respectable Human " On behalf of Teachers Day celebration, ICYM Venur Unit celebrated Teachers Day on 2nd September 2018 at Christ King Church Venur. The programme was presided by Rev Fr Stany Rodrigues along with Chief Guests M J Rodrigues and Arun Pais, Ronald Dsouza Vice President Parish Pastoral Council, , Sr Wilma Dsouza Co-ordinator ICYM Venur Unit , Delson Dsouza ICYM Unit President, Rupert Michael Pais ICYM Vice President, Reshma Fernandes ICYM Secretary were present for the programme.

Delson Dsouza ICYM Unit President welcomed the gathering. The celebration began with a fun touch by conducting several games for the teachers under the guidance of Ninet Moras and Michelle Tellis. Addressing the gathering Rev Fr Stany Rodrigues said "Teachers play a very important role in each person's life. They might be a scientist, a doctor or any other professionalists but without a teacher their values are zero in life". He also explained several points regarding Sir Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and his altruism for the sake of society. Reshma Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. Ronson Tellis ICYM Unit Treasurer compered the programme.
