With the intention of teaching the youth the value of money, to save and to donate it to the needy, I.C.Y.M Belthangady Deanery along with Sahaya Hasta Trust(R), Madanthyar took the initiative and organized "Save it and Donate it" - a mega drive during the advent season in December 2023.
The advent season symbolizes a time of preparation and anticipation for the arrival of Christ, emphasizing the importance of generosity and compassion towards those in need. To bring light into the needy's house during this sacred time, the drive commenced during Advent and continued until January 14, 2024.

Each unit of the Belthangady Deanery was provided with a box equipped with a QR code for collection, and online donations were also made available. Posters with encouraging quotes were released every Saturday and Sunday to remind participants about the drive and inspire them to contribute.
Nearly one lakh rupees were collected through this initiative, and the cash was handed over to a needy youth of the Venur unit for educational purpose on 26 February 2024. Elvin Prashanth D'Cunha - ICYM Belthangady Deanery President, Lavita Lobo- ICYM Belthangady Deanery Secretary, Sunil Moras- Founder of Sahaya Hasta Trust(R) Madanthyar, Sr. Anitha and Arun D'souza - Animators of ICYM Venur unit, Sr. Nisha and youths of the Venur unit were present during the handover ceremony.
This impactful event not only provided financial assistance to the needy youth but also fostered a sense of community and solidarity among the participants. The collective efforts of ICYM Belthangady Deanery and Sahaya Hasta trust (R), Madanthyar undoubtedly made a significant difference in the lives of those in need, embodying the spirit of compassion and generosity that Jesus exemplified.
