Aug 30 : ICYM Kasaragod deanery organized a 15 days Marathon quiz "QuizWiz" from 18th July to 2nd August 2021 and "Mega Quiz" on 5th August 2021. The quiz was organized to motivate and support deanery's youths towards attempting Kerala PSC as well as other Government Job exams.

The main attraction of the quiz was its prize, where Top 4 winners of the Marathon quiz and Top 2 winners of MegaQuiz  were to get prominent Kerala Psc coaching app "Entri App"s 1 year Subscription of "kerala PSC exam course pack" worth rupees 2000 each. More than 100 people from the deanery actively participated in the 15 days quiz.

QUIZ WIZ

Everyday morning a Youtube link of "The Hindu News paper analysis" video was sent to participants. Quiz was held from 9pm to 10pm everyday night where 15 MCQ questions from the morning sent video were asked and participants had 1 hour to answer the questions.

Daily scores of participants were added and total scores of individuals were calculated, based on this total score, a rank list of participants was created. After 12 days there was an elimination and the top 15 participants  got promoted for the final 3 days. After 3 days (15th day) top 4 participants from "15 days total score leaderboard" were selected for Entri App's subscription.

MEGA QUIZ

There were a total of 180 questions from the first 12 days and 225 in total, including the final 3 days of marathon quiz.  Participants who got more than 100 score from the first 12 days were eligible for Mega Quiz. As it turned,  50 participants were eligible for the quiz excluding 4 Quizwiz winners.

Mega Quiz was a one time quiz where 75 selected questions from the pool of 225 questions of QuizWiz were asked. First answered 2 top scorers were selected for subscription.

Subscriptions of winners, who found the prize "PSC course pack" not aligned with their career were given to succeeding rank holders. Subscription along with Certificate were distributed to winners on the General body meeting of ICYM Kasaragod deanery which was held on 8th August.

ICYM Kasaragod Deanery Director Fr. Vincent Saldanha and Animator Sr. Severine Dcunha guided and supported organizers during the quiz.  President Benet Monteiro, Secretary Delwin Dsouza, Former President Joel Crasta and Treasurer Joel Lancy organized and conducted the quiz, who were then respective office bearers.
