Aug 18 : ICYM Kasaragod Deanery in association with ICYM Kasaragod Unit organized "RADIANT 2023" on 13 th August 2023 at Kasaragod Church.

The Event begin with fun-filled action songs.The Dignitaries on the dais were Rev.Fr.Luis Cutinha - Kasaragod Parish Priest and ICYM Director, Mr. Mathew M.A. - DYSP Narcotic Cell Kasaragod, Fr.Ashwin Lohith Cardoza - Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Fr.Vishal Melvin Monis - Director of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Mr.Shinoj Chacko - District Panchayath  Standing Committee Chairman, Sr. Sevrine D'cunha - Animator ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Mr.Jaison - Representative of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery ,Mr.Richard Crasta - Vice President of Our Lady of Dolours Church Kasaragod, Mrs.Gracy D'souza - Secretary of Kasaragod Church, Ms.Jasmitha Monteiro - President of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Ms.Ashintha Monteiro - Secretary of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery, Mr.Joswin Crasta - President of ICYM Kasaragod Unit and Ms.Preema Diyona Crasta - Secretary  of ICYM Kasaragod Unit were present.

The programme began with the welcome dance by Kasaragod Unit. Mr.Joswin Crasta and Ms.Preema invited the Guests to the dais. The  Dignitaries inaugurated the event  by pulling off the shawl covered and then blowing out the lights. Mr.Joswin Crasta welcomed the gathering. Fr.Ashwin Lohith Cardoza inspired youth through sharing his experience  about WYD Lisbon 2023. Fr.Luis Cutinha and Fr.Vishal Melwin Monis addressed the youth gathering with  the message of  motivating the youth. Mr.Shinoj Chacko encouraged the youth to join hands together to build a better future.

The token of gratitude was presented to all the Dignitaries  on the dais. Ms.Preema Diyona Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. According to the colour badge, 14 groups were formed.

The session was conducted by Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes on the topic "Media". He mainly focused on the effect of  Media, Telephone  on youth and briefly explained about how to avoid the overuse of media. After the eucharistic mass and lunch , Mr.Mathew M A addressed the gathering; he gave a brief on the topic "Drugs " and explained about how to avoid drugs and other addictions.

Fr.Stany Pareira and Ms.Viyola were also present for the gathering. Ms.Viyola conducted games and action songs for the youth and unit-wise cultural programmes were held. Concluding ceremony was conducted by Ms.Benita Crasta, cultural secretary of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery. Tokens of gratitude were distributed to all the guests of the programme and all the units of Kasaragod Deanery.

Fr.Luis Cutinha appreciated all the youth and the programme ended with DJ. Overall it was a fun-filled day which was showered by enthusiasm and joy. Around 300 youths participated in the programme. It was a successful programme, all of them enjoyed every bit of  the event.
