Aug 1 : ICYM KUMBLA Unit organized "ಗಾದ್ಯಾಂತ್ ಖೆಳ್-ಮೇಳ್" slush field games on Sunday, 30th July 2023, starting at 1:40 pm at Kamanabail field, Kannur. The prayer was led by Deacon Lanson Pinto, and ICYM Unit President Prajwal Samuel D Souza welcomed the dignitaries. Fr. Anil Prakash DSilva, priest of Kumbla Parish, Mr. Shivananda Balakkila, the Kerala State award winner for the best farmer and the field owner,  Mr. Raju Stephen Dsouza, Parish Council Vice President, and Secretary, Mrs. Leedia Dsouza were present.

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries planting the paddy crop. Mr. Shivananda and Fr. Anil addressed the gathering. Mr. Shivananda praised the ICYM members for organizing the event, and Fr. Anil appreciated the efforts of ICYM members in bringing the parishioners together as a family.

The games commenced with a march past at 2 pm, featuring individual and group events for children, couples, and elders. The day concluded with the Tug of War at 5 pm, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary Jeshma Lobo. The day concluded with a dance of baila. Joel Crasta and Deacon Lanson Pinto mastered the ceremony and the 21 ICYM Kumbla members actively participated in the event.

The day was a whirlwind of fun-filled activities, leaving them both exhausted and exhilarated, making it truly unforgettable and memorable.
