Sep 9 : On 3rd September 2023, ICYM Balkunje unit, along with Catholic Sabha Balkunje and Education Commission celebrated Teachers’ Day and honored the students who excelled in board examinations.
Fr Paul Sequeira, Parish priest of Balkunje Church, Ms Melreeda Jane Rodrigues, President of Catholic Sabha, Dr Freeda Rodrigues, Vice president of parish council, Mrs Lavina Serrao, convenor of pastoral commissions, Ms Nelisha Lobo, president of ICYM Balkunje, Mrs Nancy Cardoza, Secretary of Parish council, and Sr Sharon of Providence convent Balkunje were present on the dais.
All the teachers were honoured with a memento while appreciating their selfless service in shaping young minds.

The 5 students who excelled in their board exams were congratulated for their outstanding performance.
Dr. Freeda Rodrigues and Ms. Nelisha Lobo were honoured for being elected as Director of MCC Bank and Head of Women's commission for AICUF respectively.
Mrs. Nancy Cardoza delivered the vote of thanks. ICYM Members sang the prayer song and sodality children welcomed the gathering through a dance. Mrs Cynthia Dmello compered the program.
