Oct 18 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kinnigoli Unit in association with S. V. P held " Malgadyancho Dees" for all the elders above the age of 65 on 16th October 2022 at Kinnigoli Church hall.

The formal program began at 12:30 PM by having Fr. Faustine Lobo - Director of ICYM, and Fr. Vivek - Asst. Director, Fr. Lancy Saldanha - Principal St. Mary's Central School, Shaila Sequeira - Vice president of Parish Council, Vincent Mathias - Secretary of Parish Council, Robert Saldana - President S. V. P, Nealon D'souza - President ICYM on stage carried out by Aloma.

Nealon D'souza did the salutation, the inauguration was carried out by lighting the lamp, and then Fr. Faustine Lobo shared a few words by calling out elders as precious pearls and encouraging them and praising them for everything they have done and wished them well. To commemorate the day of happiness, cake cutting was done by the dignitaries on stage along with two of the elders. Herald D'souza concluded the stage program by thanking all.

As for entertainment purposes, a small skit called " Aba no. 1" was performed by the ICYM members, which depicted how the grandfather gets his kids right on track, who had forgotten the richness and importance of their culture. A few baila songs were sung to lift the atmosphere a bit more.

Kenneth conducted a few games for the elders, in which they participated very diligently and won the prizes. An opportunity was served for the elderly people to present their talent, and many of them performed exquisitely. A delicious meal was also served to everyone.

Aldrene and Ashley looked after the transport facility for the elders. S. V. P members took up the expense of the program and assisted in cooking the meal. Overall it was a wonderful time for all the elders and youth to spend a day together and have the best out of it.
