Sep 14 : In a joint effort, the ICYM & YCS units of St. Lawrence Church, Bola came together to celebrate "NOVE JEVAN" on September 10, 2023, at the Church Hall. The event was graced by several esteemed dignitaries including the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Fredrick Correa, the former parish priest Rev. Fr. Michael D'Souza, Sisters helping in Catechism, and Ward Gurkars.

The program commenced with a beautiful prayer song, led by members of YCS, invoking God's blessings upon the gathering. Following this, YCS Vice President Noella  extended a warm welcome to all the guests.

The inauguration of the event was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Rev. Fr. Fredrick Correa, the Church Priest, delivered an inspirational address to the attendees, setting a spiritual tone for the gathering.

The Novena, a significant part of the celebration, was conducted by the Parish Priest and ICYM member, Delna D'Souza. This was followed by an array of exciting games organized by ICYM member Teena D'Sa, adding an element of fun and camaraderie to the event.

The Vote of Thanks was eloquently proposed by Jenisha D'Souza, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the program.

A special blessing was bestowed upon the food prepared with love and dedication by ICYM and YCS members. This blessing was offered by Parish Priest Fr. Fredrick Correa, and the delicious meal was served to all present.

The master of ceremonies for the program was Reshal Jenifer D'Souza, who skilfully guided the proceedings. Additionally, the presence of the animators added to the joy of this memorable occasion.

The "NOVE JEVAN" celebration was a testament to the unity, spirituality, and community spirit of the ICYM and YCS units, Bola. It was an event filled with meaningful moments and shared blessings, bringing the community closer together.
