Oct 6 : ICYM Ferar unit organised Udkanth Udkana for the parishioners on 24th September 2023 at 10:30 am in Church School ground. Rev Fr Ashwin Cardoza Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the chief guest for the programme. Rev Fr. Antony Lewis Parish Priest, Wilma Lobo ICYM Diocesan Secretary, William Dsouza Vice President and Henry Mascarenhas Secretary Parish Pastoral Council, Sr Herita Head of the Shubhada Convent, Sr Flora Head of the Nirmala Nikethana Convent, Kevin Pinto President ICYM Pezar Deanery, Sagon Noronha and Crystal Pinto President and Secretary of ICYM Ferar unit were the dignitaries of the programme.

Sagon Noronha ICYM Unit President welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Ashwin Cardoza inaugurated the programme and addressed the gathering. Sponsors who sponsored above one thousand rupees were honoured for hosting the programme successfully. Crystal Pinto ICYM Unit Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Leona Cutinha compered the programme.

Bomb in the city, Balloon between knees, Filling the bucket with sponge, Water cup on head backward race and various other solo games were conducted both with and without using water according to age groups.

Lunch was arranged for the parishioners by the ICYM team.

At the post lunch session, Ward games like forming a pyramid and breaking the pot, Tug of war, Truck pulling for men and pickup pulling for women, and also special relay was conducted. Nishith Lobo, Roshan Santhumayor and ICYM members conducted the games. Amcil sir and Prashant sir helped as the judges for each event.

Muchhur ward bagged overall championship and Nityadar ward bagged Runners up and other prizes were distributed to all the winners.

Mithesh Dsouza ICYM Diocesan President, and other ICYM members were present for the programme. It was a fun-filled day and a day to remember.
