Oct 29 : ICYM Permude Unit along with Parish Pastoral Commissions organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital Kakanady , Mangalore on Sunday, 29 October 2023 from 9.00 am to 2pm at St John The Baptist church hall Permude.

Rev Fr. Ronald Pinto Parish Priest and Director of ICYM Permude Unit , C A Simon SP of Lokayukta , Dr . Rashmi Fr Muller Charitable Hospital Mangaluru , Parish Vice-President Henry D’cunha , Parish Secretary Dolphy Pinto , Saks Ayog Coordinator Alphonse Fernandes , Vinod Pinto Coordinator of all parish commissions, ICYM Animator Roshan Rodrigues and VinthaTauro , ICYM Red Drop Representative Roel Misquith ,ICYM President Nithin D’cunha and ICYM Secretary Sony Dsouza were present on this occasion.

The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song led by ICYM Members. Dr. Sharon Mendonca welcomed the guests of the programme . The program was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp in the auspicious hands of dignitaries. Presidential speech highlighted the importance of blood donation , and encouraged people to donate blood at least once in a year. Jerald Pereira conveyed vote of thanks to all those who helped for the event.

81 units of blood were collected. The blood that was collected was handed over to Fr Muller hospital. Many people came forward to donate blood and made the programme a successful one.
