Sep 25 : On the occasion of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary , ICYM St. Mother Teresa Deanery organized NOVEM JEVAN 2023 on 17th September 2023 at Holy Spirit Church Mukka.

The programme began with a prayer service led by the ICYM members of Mulki unit. Rev.Fr.Cyril Pinto – Parish priest Holy spirit Church Mukka , Rev. Fr. Sylvester Dcosta – ICYM Surathkal Deanery Director, Mithesh Dsouza – President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Wilma Lobo – secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Lavita Dsouza – President of ICYM Surathkal Deanery, Clarin Fernandes – Secretary of ICYM Surathkal Deanery were the dignitaries on the dais.

Lavita Dsouza, the President of ICYM Surathkal Deanery welcomed the gathering . Rev.Fr Sylvester Dcosta, The Director, Rev. Fr. Cyril Pinto and Rev. Fr. Walter Mendonca Symbolically inaugurated the programme through the blessing of the new grains and offering of the flowers to the blessed Virgin Mary along with the dignitaries on the dais. The chief guest Rev.Fr. Sylvester Dcosta addressed the youth and gave the youth a thoughtful message. Mithesh Dsouza followed by Wilma Lobo also shared their thoughts towards the auspicious celebration. Clarin Fernandes - ICYM Surathkal Deanery Secretary proposed the Vote of thanks.

After the inaugural ceremony, exciting games were organised for the youth of Surathkal Deanery, with the enthusiastic leadership of Fr. Richard – Asst. Priest of Surathkal parish. Fun filled games like Volleyball , throw ball and guess the drink were organised with supervision of the executive council of the deanery. All the youth came forward to show their talents and participated actively in these competitions.

Rev .Fr Richard shared his thoughts towards the gathering and congratulated them for participating actively and supporting each other and enlightening the minds of the youth. Fr. Cyril Pinto along with Fr. Sylvester Dcosta congratulated all the participants and announced the names of the Prize winners . The dignitaries on the dais gave the prizes to the winners.

After the Valedictory programme, all the youth along with the guests joined for the delicious and traditional dinner prepared by all the units of ICYM Surathkal Deanery followed by a short baila and melodious singing by Fr Walter Mendonca.
