" To lead, To serve,To shine" with this motive and spirit we the youth of Mulki along with the encouragement of our parish priest had organized Diocesian level Men's Volleyball and Women's Throwball match called "# KELA PANDYAT- 2015#"on 18 th October 2015 in Mulki Church ground.
Since it was Sunday , soon after the mass the programme began with the procession from church to ground where we received the chief guest and the sponsors of this mega event Shri Kishore Alva, The executive director of Adani corporate affairs ,UPCL, Shri Arvind Punja , The owner of Punja groups, Shri Joby Joseph, International Volleyball player , Mrs. Vani Alva, Mrs. Meenakshi Bangera, The chief officials of town panchayath Mulki, Shri Joel Dsouza , The vice President of parish pastrol council, and Mrs.Celine Rodrigues , Secretary of parish pastrol council.
The official program started with the prayer song and thereafter the President of ICYM, Mulki Ms. Vinola Rebello welcomed the gathering , the president of program and parish priest Rev. Fr .F.X .Gomes introduced the chief guest, and thanked for their valuable presence. The chief guest Shri Kishore Alva and Shri Aravind Punja motivated the youth to build a youthful nation.
The program ended with the vote of thanks and the Master of Ceremony was Mr. Pradeep Ferrao .
Immediately after the stage program the matches began.There were 34 teams took part in this event . The match went on till evening, here Fr.Gomes played an important role by taking the lead to organize the event. At the end the Vamanjoor and Bondel came to volleyball final match and Vamanjoor was Winners here , And in throw ball Omzoor and Balkunje were the finalist and Omzoor were Winners.
Thereafter there was a closing ceremony immediately after the matches. Shri Vinay Kumar Sorake , minister of Urban development of Karnataka made this closing ceremony as a memorable one by his presence as Chief guest. And other dignitaries Shri Kishore Alva, Adani Groups UPCL, the sponsor of this program and Others were also present. Here Fr. F. X Gomes introduced the chief guest to the gathering. The Chief Guest of the program congratulated all the youth who participated in this mega event and by his encouraging words he gave his message to all the youths to take an achieve role in the society. Thereafter the dignitaries distributed the prizes to the winners and runners.
Finally the program ended with vote of thanks and baila dance.
