ICYM Hospet unit celebrated Laudato - Si Sunday on Sunday, 30th June 2019. The programme commenced at 9.30 am in the premises of Holy Cross Church, Hospet.

Rev. Fr Santhosh Sebastian Rodrigues - Parish Priest, Holy Cross Church, Hospet presided over the programme along with Br. Sooraj Lobo, Basil Vivian Colaco - Vice President, Manohar Cutinha – Secretary, Hospet Parish Pastoral Council, Wilfred Mendonca, Denis Fernandes, Selwin Jude Colaco - ICYM Animators, Terence Joel Coelho – President, Sunitha Dsouza – Secretary, ICYM Hospet unit, all the ward gurkars and the parishioners. Terence Joel Coelho welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr Santhosh Sebastian Rodrigues addressed the gathering on the importance of Laudato – Si Sunday, shared his ideas on reducing the problems of water scarcity and protecting the environment by planting the saplings.

The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling as a symbol of Laudato - Si. The saplings were distributed to the ward gurkars and were planted around the church premises along with the parishioners and ICYM members. Sunitha Dsouza rendered the vote of thanks and Perlin Tellis – ICYM member compered the programme.
