Nov 8 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Hospet Unit organized ‘Gadhya Khel - 2023’ for the parishioners, on 5th November 2023, at Mr. Jephriyan Rodrigues’s field, Hospet.

Programme began with a prayer service led by ICYM unit members. Christon Fleming Serra, the Unit President, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Rev. Fr. Gregory D'Souza - Parish Priest, inaugurated the programme along with Mr. Manohar Cutinha - Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Hospet; Mr. Vincent Santhmayor - Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Hospet; Mrs. Laveena Pinto - 21 Commissions Co-ordinator, Hospet; Mr. Jephriyan Rodrigues, Sr. Sujatha - Superior of BDP Convent, Hospet; Mr. Selwin Jude Colaco, Mr. Denis Fernandes and Mrs. Leena Tellis - Animators of ICYM Hospet Unit; all Ward Gurkars and Rolston Fleming D'Souza - Sports Secretary of ICYM Hospet.

During the inaugural program, Rev. Fr. Gregory D’Souza and Manohar Cutinha addressed the gathering. Mishel Tauro - Lady Vice President of ICYM Hospet compered the inaugural programme.

Alwyn D’Souza – Agrar and Reckson Crasta - Taccode conducted a variety of games such as treasure hunt, dodgeball, running race, tug of war etc. Additionally, Brendon Cutinha - President, Adel Menezes - Lady Vice President, Renisha D'Costa - Treasurer, Jonita Rodrigues - Auditor, Cletus Pinto - Red Drop Coordinator, Alton Fernandes – Amcho Yuvak Representative and Glany Vinita Colaco - Joint Secretary of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery were also present at this event.

The valedictory ceremony began at 5.30 pm, during which the prizes were distributed to the winners. St Antony Ward won the overall championship and Nithyadhar Mai Ward was the runner-up of this event. Winston Joel Sequiera – Amcho Yuvak Representative of ICYM Hospet Unit, hosted the prize distribution ceremony and Ivy Sonal Rodrigues - Secretary of ICYM Hospet Unit proposed a vote of thanks. The event was a grand success with active participation from the parishioners and ICYM members.
