Aug 28 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Shirthady Unit organised "YUVA SANGAM" on 20th August, 2023 at Holy Angels School hall, Shirthady. The program commenced at 9:30 am with an ice breaking session.

Thereafter, the inaugural ceremony commenced at 10:30 am. Inaugural function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas - director of ICYM Shirthady unit. Herald Dsilva- Vice president of Mount Carmel Parish, Jacintha Rodrigues - Secretary of Mount Carmel Parish, Brendon Cutinha - President of ICYM moodbidri deanery, Vijoy Cardoza - Secretary of ICYM moodbidri deanery, Wilfred Pinto - Animator of ICYM shirthady unit and Jovel Fernandes - the chief guest of the program were also present for the inaugural program.

Ms. Freedal and Ms. Primal hosted the entire program. Ms. Nikhitha Martis - President of ICYM shirthady unit welcomed the gathering. Inauguration was done by the dignitaries. Around 60 youths of Shirthady unit were present for this program.

Mr. Brendon Cutinha - President of ICYM Moodbidri deanery inspired all the youths by his encouraging words.

Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas spoke about the initiatives that have to be taken by all the youths for the well being of society and gave a brief message to all the members.

The inaugural ceremony came to an end in a formal way with a vote of thanks by Secretary of ICYM Shirthady unit Leonna Dcosta.

The morning session commenced with action songs by ICYM executive members and later on the session was continued by Mr. Jovel Fernandes about ICYM and its importance in youth life.

After lunch, all the youths were divided into 5 teams. The activities were conducted by Mr. Jovel Fernandes with the help of ICYM moodbidri deanery executive members. This session was full of fun-filled activities and also all the youths have actively participated.

At the end of the day, feedback was given by the youths and ICYM shirthady unit presented a memento to the chief guest Mr. Jovel Fernandes.
