ICYM Alangar unit organized "Vovyan-Versan Karyagar", a half day program on 03/08/2014 under "Matov Mangloor Konkani Samskrati Kala Prathistan".

The program was inaugurated by Chief guest Fr. Basil Vas, Director and Parish Priest, Holy Rosary Church, Alangar including Mr. James D'souza, Nirdheshak, Mrs. Reena D'souza, Secretary, Mrs. Veena Pereira, Joint-Secretary of "Matov Mangloor" and other dignitaries of parish council and ICYM. 70 members attended the event. The main aim of this program was to spread the importance of Konkani Samskrati among youths and others.
Mr. James D'Souza gave a clear picture of chanting vovyo, like vovyo at prayer time, vovyo for welcoming, vovyo as an answer etc.
He even taught songs that are usually sung for marriage occasions.Thus the program ended with a small competition by chanting vovyo.
