Sep 21 : On the occasion of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary, ICYM St. Matthew Deanery Moodbidri along with Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Deanery, Rotaract Club - Moodbidri, Rotary Club - Moodbidri, Rotary Club of Moodbidri MidTown, Rotary Club of Moodbidri Temple Town, Lions Club - Moodbidri, Lions Club - Alangar, Yuva Konkan Association - Dakshina Kannada, Inner Wheel Club -Moodbidri, JCI Moodbidri Tribhuvan celebrated “Sarvadharmiyarondige Thene Habba” on 16th September 2023 at Swarna Mandir Moodbidri.
The programme began with a prayer service led by ICYM Moodbidri Deanery executive members. Brendon Cutinha, the President of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. V. Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza - ICYM Moodbidri Deanery Director, presided over and inaugurated the programme along with Chief Guest Sandesh P G - Circle Inspector of Moodbidri. Avil Dsouza - President of Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Deanery; Rtn Faraz Bedra- President of Rotaract Club, Moodbidri; Rtn Nagaraj B - President of Rotary Club, Moodbidri; Rtn Poornachandra Jain- Member of Rotary Club Of Moodbidri Temple Town; Rtn Mahendra Kumar Jain - President of Rotary Club of Moodbidri MidTown; Ann Saritha Ashirwad - President of Inner Wheel Club, Moodbidri; Sunil Kumar - President of JCI Thribhuvan, Moodbidri; Jossy Menezes - President of Lions Club, Moodbidri; Loyd Rego - President of Lions Club, Alangar and Anish D'Souza - President of Yuva Konkan Association, Dakshina Kannada were also the guest of honour of this programme.

Following the inauguration, Inspector Sandesh P G addressed the gathering, commending the harmony among different faiths and emphasizing our shared connection with our surroundings. V. Rev. Fr.Onil D'Souza, in his presidential speech congratulated all the organizers for organizing this programme and elaborated on the traditional significance of the Nativity feast. Subsequently, V. Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza blessed the newly harvested corn by mixing it with milk, imparting a sacred touch to the occasion.
Avil Dsouza- President of Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Deanery rendered a vote of thanks. The programme featured cultural dances performed by the ICYM Moodbidri Unit and ICYM Shirthady Unit. Elvin D’Sa - Vice President of ICYM Shirthady Unit and Steffi Miranda - Secretary of ICYM Alangar Unit compered the programme.
The event concluded with a traditional and lavish dinner prepared by all the ICYM units of Moodbidri Deanery, serving approximately 175 attendees.
