Sep 13, 2023 : ICYM and YCS members staged an anti-drug street play as part of the Diocese of Mangalore’s month-long anti-drug campaign in September, at Neermarga Church grounds, under the leadership of Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paul Pinto on September 10th. The street play, titled ‘Havn Amali Naim’ (I am not an addict), took place after Sunday Mass. The play aimed to raise drug awareness, depicting a scenario in which a young boy becomes addicted to drugs, and the police hand him over to his parents. Subsequently, family members help the boy understand the effects of drugs, concluding the play. Later, ICYM and YCS members sang a song and recited poems and slogans related to drugs.

Mr. Arun D’Souza, the YCS Animator, directed the street play . Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paul Pinto delivered a message and expressed gratitude to the YCS and ICYM members for their efforts in creating awareness about the drug menace.
