Aug 3, 2016: The "Sangatha - 2016" an orientation program for the youth of Derebail parish was organized under the leadership of Yuva Spandan Derebail (YSD) along with the association of Young Catholic Students (YCS) and Christian Life Community (CLC) on 31st of July at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail.
The day began by invoking God's blessings through prayer followed by the formal function and inaugurating the event "Sangatha 2016".The ice breaking session held thereafter helped the youth to get to know each other.
Dr Caroline D’souza spoke to the youth on controlling one's emotions when caught up in different situations. Fr Gratian Alvares celebrated the mass while all the youth joined in devoutly.
The afternoon went on in playing different games conducted by the team of ICYM City Deanery and YSD Derebail. Kevin Suares, the YSD President thanked everyone present for their presence and the prizes were distributed to the various groups who won. Overall it was a day filled with fun and excitement that brought together all the youth of the parish of Derebail and ended with Baila dance.
