Aug 22 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement - St. Paul Eastern Deanery - Puttur organized YUVA SANGAM on 20th August 2023 at SJM hall, St. Philomena College Darbe, Puttur. The Program commenced at 9.30 am with the prayer song.
Inaugural function was presided over by Rev Fr. Lawrence Mascharenhas - vicar forane of St. Paul Eastern Puttur Deanery. Rev Fr. Rupesh Raveen Tauro - director of ICYM Puttur Deanery, Rev Fr Raymond Fernandes from karwar diocese, Mr. Jerald - vice president of Mai De Deus church Puttur, Mr. Mithesh D'Souza - President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Ms. Wilma Viyola Lobo - Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Mr. Kevin Rodrigues - Red drop representative of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Mr. Anthony Mascharenhas - ICYM Puttur Deanery President, Rishal Rego - secretary of ICYM Puttur Deanery, Mr. Roystan Rebello - president of ICYM puttur unit, Ms. Mavina Pinto - secretary of ICYM Puttur Unit were present on the dais. Rev. Fr. Stany Pinto - Campus Director - St Philomena College, Rev. Fr. Rahul Dexter - Resource Person, Ms. Lianna Rodrigues - PRO, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Mr. Jaison Dsouza - Auditor, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Mr. Kevin Pinto - President ICYM Pezar Deanery were also present for the Inaugural program.

Ms. Vanditha Lobo hosted the program. Mr. Anthony Mascharenhas welcomed the gathering. Inauguration was done by the dignitaries.
Mr. Mithesh D'Souza - President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese spoke and encouraged the youth to come up with more programmes.
Mr. Mithesh D'Souza, Ms. Wilma Viyola Lobo, Ms. Lianna Renita Rodrigues, Mr. Kevin Rodrigues were honored during the program.
Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mascharenhas spoke about initiatives to be taken by the ICYM members for the well being of society and gave a brief message for the youth.
The formal ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks by ICYM Puttur Deanery Secretary Rishal Rego.
The morning session commenced with action songs by Dexco members and the session was conducted by Rev. Fr. Rahul Dexter D'Souza about Social Awareness. The session turned out to be the most interesting part of the day.
Holy eucharistic mass was held for all the youths gathered for the youth convention, Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza - Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese and Rev. Fr. Rupesh Raveen Tauro were the celebrants of the holy Eucharist. Liturgy service was led by the members of the deanery executive committee.
After lunch, afternoon activities were conducted by Mr. Jaison Mogarnad. This consisted of fun filled activities and games where all the youths participated actively.
Rev. Fr. Lohith Ajay Mascharenhas - Assistant Parish Priest of Mai De Deus church, Mr. Nian Sequiera, Mr. Wilson Pinto - president and secretary of Bantwal deanery, Mr. Melroy Prem D'Souza - IPP Bantwal Deanery, Ms. Shervin, Ms. Carol Jevita - lady vice president and secretary of Vittal deanery paid a visit to the venue and conveyed their wishes amidst the activities.
At the end of the day, a valedictory programme was organised. Ms. Melita D'Souza hosted the program. Ms. Mavina Pinto welcomed the dignitaries and all the gatherings for the valedictory ceremony. Rev. Fr. Rupesh Tauro addressed the youth and appreciated everyone's presence. Rev Fr. Stany Pinto appreciated the deanery committee executives for successfully organizing the convention and bringing the youth together. The youth convention came to an end with the words of gratitude by Mr. Roystan Rebello.
The program concluded with Jackson's DJ.
