Jan 11 : ICYM Bannur unit organized “Christmas Eve - 2K18” on 25th December 2018 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at St Anthony’s Church grounds, Bannur (Puttur). The event commenced with Christmas Tableau procession to spread Christmas message in eight wards of Bannur parish. Parishioners participated in this procession with different Christmas themes. Youths and parishioners sung Christmas carols and danced for the music throughout the procession.

Thereafter a cultural event was organized at 6:00 p.m. Noel Ivan Pais – President, ICYM Bannur unit welcomed the guests and the gathering. The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Parish Priest Rev. Fr Prashanth Fernandes along with Inas Gonsalves - Vice President and Wilma Gonsalves - Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, Noel Ivan Pais – President and Joanita Sharrel Dsouza – Secretary, ICYM Bannur unit.

Rev. Fr Prashanth Fernandes spoke few words addressing the gathering on significance of Christmas. Joyline Noronha proposed the vote of thanks and Joanita Sharrel Dsouza compered the programme.

Various events like dance, skit, singing were performed by ICYM members and the parishioners. Prizes were distributed to the winners of games and competitions conducted by ICYM. All the sponsorers were honoured with a memento. Santa Claus attracted the crowd by his dance and appearance.

At last, all the parishioners performed baila dance. It was a fun-filled and a memorable day to all the parishioners of Bannur.
