Nov 28 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Puttur Unit, on the occasion of Children's Day organized competitions for children of Mai De Deus parish, Puttur.

For the children of Class 1 to 4, Marian Hymn - Singing Competition was conducted through WhatsApp where the competent was required to send a maximum 3 min video to the given WhatsApp number. This competition was conducted in two categories, i.e. Class 1, 2 and Class 3, 4. A good response was received for this competition. Church Choristers Roshan Sequeira, Leena Rego and Joylous Delan helped as judges for this competition.

For children from class 5 to PUC, the Quiz competition was held on 14/11/2021 during the Sunday catechism class. This competition was conducted in three categories, i.e. Class 5 to 7, Class 8 to 10, YCS. The Quiz included 25 MCQs. Questions were made up on the topics from the Bible, about the Parish, Diocese, Riddles, Proverbs, State and Nation etc.

On 14/11/2021 after 9:30am mass, ICYM members distributed sweets and Ice-Cream for children. 19 ICYM members had joined together in conducting the quiz and distributing the sweets.

Prizes and certificates were given by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas to the prize winners on 28/11/2021 Sunday after 9:30am mass.
