Sep 11 : On the occasion of the feast of Nativity of Mother Mary, ICYM Puttur Unit conducted “Marian Hymn” singing competition for the parishioners. This was conducted through WhatsApp where the competent was required to send a maximum 2 min video to the given WhatsApp number. This competition was conducted in three categories based on age. A good response was received for this competition. There were a total of 41 participants. Annie Mascarenhas, Elita Monteiro, Lavisha Dcunha, Leena Pais helped as judges for this competition.
The singing videos were uploaded in ICYM Puttur Unit Instagram, Facebook, YouTube account.
The winner’s of the competition are as follows:
Category 1
First: Aston Prince Pais (Kallare ward)
Second: Tivona Sequeira ( Panglai ward)
Category 2
First: Angel Pinto ( Panglai ward)
Second: Lishal Dsouza (Parladka ward)
Category 3
First: Ancil Nisha Rodrigues ( Panglai ward)
Second: Flancy Suvares (Darbe ward)
As a token of appreciation gifts were given to children below 6 years.
Prizes and certificates were given by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas to the prize winners on the feast day, i.e. 8th September 2023 after 8.15am mass.
