Oct 31 : On October 29, 2023, commission for family and commission for ladies of Puttur Parish with the assistance of ICYM Puttur , Don Bosco Club, CLC and other commissions organized Elders’ Day celebration at Mai De Deus Church, Puttur. Elders’ day celebration mass was at 8.15 am. Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza was the main celebrant of the mass. Rev. Fr. Stany B Lobo , Parish Priest Rev Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lohith Ajay Mascarenhas joined as co-celebrants of the holy mass.
After the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, there was a programme for the elderly people of the Parish. Program started with a heartfelt prayer song sung by the ICYM Puttur followed by speeches by the esteemed guests on the dais. Dr. Judy Pinto was the resource person of this program. Later entertainment programs were conducted by the Parishioners. ICYM Puttur put on a dance performance.
It was a beautiful display of unity and respect, showcasing the importance of honoring and cherishing our elders.
