Sep 22 : ICYM Nellyady unit organized Yuva Sparsh 2018, a youth gathering programme for all YCS and ICYM youth of Infant Jesus Church Nellyady on Sunday 19 August 2018 at Don Bosco Hall. Initially breakfast was served to all the youths. The day began with the action song and games led by Lancy Dsouza and Nishmitha Dsouza.

The inaugural programme commenced with a prayer song by seeking god’s blessings on the programme. Nishmitha Dsouza ICYM Unit President welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Vincent Dsouza Parish Priest presided over the programme along with Norbert Misquith Resource person of the day, Sr.Theresa Crasta Superior, John Monteiro Secretary Parish Pastoral Council, Sr.Saritha Dsouza ICYM Animator, Sr.Elizabeth Crasta YCS Animator, Nishmitha Dsouza ICYM Unit President, John Steevan ICYM Unit Secretary were the dignitaries on the dias.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by all the dignitaries. Rev Fr Vincent Dsouza Parish Priest and Sr. Saritha Dsouza ICYM Animator addressed the gathering with a message. During this occasion 3 initatives which are as follows Red Drop Campaign, Go Green - Each One Plant One and Dhristi – Eye and Organ Donation which was initiated by ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese was inaugurated. John Steevan ICYM Unit Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

Mr Norbert Misquith addressed the gathering on importance of youths. The morning session ended with Holy Euharistic Celebration followed by lunch. In the post lunch session, Aneesh Lobo Kadaba Joint Secretary ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, James Crishal Dsouza Kadaba President ICYM Puttur Deanery, Rakshith Pinto Secretary ICYM Puttur Deanery, Prashanth Dsouza Nellyady Vice President ICYM Puttur Deanery, Jayanth Dsouza Kokkada Treasurer ICYM Puttur Deanery and Deepak Dsouza were present for the programme, Puttur Deanery Council members conducted activities like action songs, variety games and entertained the gathering.

The programme concluded with a group photo as well by singing a hymn which is dedicated to Infant Jesus. More than 45 youths were present for the programme. Renita Monteiro compered the programme.
