Sep 20 : ICYM Central Council Diocese of Mangalore conducted "Konkani Shikpasaal", a Workshop on Konkani speaking and writing skills on 18th September, 2021 from 6PM to 8PM on Zoom platform. The entire session was also Live streamed on ICYM Mangalore YouTube Channel. This program was organised on an offline basis for the ICYM Central Council members. The Resource Person was Rev Fr Valerian Fernandes, Editor of Raknno, Konkani Weekly.

Criston Josvin Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery welcomed the resource person Fr Valerian Fernandes. Rev Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Jaison Lawrence Crasta , President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Blairil Vishma Dcunha, General Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese and a few Central Council members were present for the workshop.

The session was quite informative and interactive. The resource person kept the participants of the webinar so indulged in the session that there were several questions popping up in their minds and the answers were provided with so much ease that anyone could easily grasp them. Overall it was a great session and all the participants gained a lot of knowledge on Konkani speaking and writing. The session was successful in igniting the minds of the youth and has definitely created a spark in the young minds to rightly speak and write Konkani beautifully.

Rovit Lawrence Fernandes, Secretary of ICYM Bantwal Deanery proposed the vote of thanks and Terence Levy Crasta, Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese handed over the token of gratitude to the speaker.
